I was browsing in the sports section of the local Half-Priced Book Store the other day and came across this:
The book was put together by Danny Peary (a sportswriter) and Mary Tiegreen (a designer and writer). It was published by Stewart, Tabori & Chang in 2003. If you're looking for a Christmas gift for a baseball fan, you could do worse. It's available on Amazon.
I recommend it for those long winter nights when Spring and baseball seem like a distant promise.
Here are just a few excerpts.
There are a lot of great photographs.

Good choice of images, cuz #240 nails it.
There is nothing sweeter than a perfectly laid down bunt. Watching the scramble for the ball, the runners advancing, the decision where to throw while the bunter tries to beat it the throw.
It's like a beautiful ballet.
Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A great read.
