That sad time of year

Well it's that sad time of year. No, I don't mean the start of school, or the first hints of fall in the air. I mean it's the time of year when football and hockey cards begin to push baseball cards off the rack at Target.

And dear God, what is this?

Garbage...Pail...Kids....Chrome!!??

My hand was shaking so much I couldn't get the picture in focus.

Yes, I noticed the same thing, right down to the Garbage Pail Kids chrome blaster.

There was an entire row of football blasters. I'm sure they'll still be there in that position two months from now.

I've also seen Chrome Wacky Packages. There is no end in sight... I mourn at the end of baseball season.

a sad time indeed...although I do see some Bowman Baseball hangers there, could make a final go at an Abreu auto or something :)

On the flip side... isn't this also the time when they start discounting all of those baseball blasters to clear room for the football?
