Comments on the card/player: This was an 11-card set in 2012 Topps Opening Day. Albert's 2012 season, his first with the Angels, was his worst season to date. Even so, he'd have been a valuable addition to someone's fantasy team.
How/When acquired: Paid $0.15/card for two blasters in March 2012.

Comments on the card/player: This card, from my least favorite Topps set of the 21st century, is of interest only because Tejeda's name is misspelled on the front.

2010 Topps National Chicle #244 Eddie Mathews

Comments on the card/player: This National Chicle set was real nice. It featured player paintings by various artists in various styles. I wish I had bought more of it at the time. Hobby boxes of this are going for $90-$100 on eBay now.
How/When acquired: Paid $0.51/card for two 7-pack blasters in May 2010.

 Comments on the card/player: Upper Deck First Pitch was an attempt by Upper Deck to reproduce whatever success that Topps had with their Opening Day set. A pretty much forgettable card set.
How/When acquired: Paid $0.16/card for a blaster in May 2004.

 Comments on the card/player: I was beginning to think I was going to get through this post without a Phillie, but here we have Phorgotten Phillie Lenny Webster. The Phillies signed him in April 1995 after he was a free agent from the Expos. He got into 49 games with the Phillies. The Expos selected him off waivers from the Phillies in March 1996.
How/When acquired: Paid $0.18/card for entire Fleer (including update) Phillies set in July 2009.

 Comments on the card/player: I can't say for sure but the front photo looks staged to me. One of my favorite early Upper Deck sets, the first year they went to full-bleed printing front and back.

Comments on the card/player: I'm not too interested in the 1985 Astros since I didn't move to Texas until 1995 but I am interested in 1985 Topps. I started collecting cards in 1985, and Topps was what I bought. I have a long-term goal for completing the set one day.
How/When acquired: I got this in my 2012 Summer Clearance Trade.

 Comments on the card/player: Hey, another Phillie! Flash only got 13 more saves for the Phillies in 2006. He got injured in May of 2007 and lost the closer job to Brett Myers.

 Comments on the card/player: Another pointless set from the mid-1990s. The front was printed on foil board which does not scan well. The card didn't look that great in person either.
