Song of the Week - Bizarre Love Triangle by Frente!

Frente! may be a band you never heard of. There were an Australian alternative rock band from the early to mid 1990s. Their first album, Marvin The Album was fairly successful in Australia. I'm featuring there cover of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" from this album which was a moderate hit in the US in 1994. I'm not sure how I heard of them, but I expect they got some airplay on public radio station WXPN in Philadelphia and bought the CD. Recently I found their second (and last) CD, Shape at a used book store. I like this band very much, especially the singing of Angie Hart. Although Frente! disbanded in 1996, Hart is still active and released a solo album called Splendid in 2007 about which I know nothing. There are several other Frente! videos on YouTube. I would recommend "accidently Kelly Street".

Every time I think of you
I get a shot right through into a bolt of blue
It's no problem with mind, but it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind

There's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes and it's what nobody knows
And every day my confusion grows

CHORUS:
Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You say the words that I can't say

I feel fine and I feel good
I feel like I never should
Whenever I get this way, I just don't know what to say
Why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday

I'm not sure what this could mean
I don't think you're what you seem
I do admit to myself that if I hurt someone else
Then I'll never see just what we're meant to be

CHORUS

Every time I see you falling I'll
Get down on my knees and pray;
I'm waiting for the final moment you'll
Say the words that I can't say.

Great call, Cliff! I don't know how I came to own this CD but I've always loved it. I wasn't aware of the second album. I may have to scrounge one up.
