Thursday Night at the Movies - Australia

We loved this movie.

Some of the critics of this movie complain that it jumps around too much, but I think that's one of the things we liked about it. Is it a Western? A World War II movie? A romantic farce? A story of the outback? Well, sure it is, and maybe a few other movies as well. It's got its share of cliches but for every tired cliche which follows through, there's another which gets turned on its head. I think it's a sure nominee for Best Picture and Best Director. Kidman and Jackman have a shot at Best Actress and Best Actor.

No, not a musical. The last movie Kidman did with the director was Moulin Rouge which was a musical (which I loved). Kidman sings over the closing credits. There's also a new Elton John song after that.
