And I learned what it means when the box says "MEMORABILIA CARD in EVERY box (on average).

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in spring, when everything else begins again, and blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then, just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops."

When I saw that 20th aniv card I assumed that with all those orange stars that they putting the finishing touches on the Astros ballpark. foolish me thinking that a pack of baseball cards may contain baseball related cards.
Yeah, Spectrum isn't much of a product again this year. Of course, I bought a couple of blasters when there wasn't any other '09 cards on the shelves, so now I have enough of the set to try and complete...I'd trade for any you got that I need.
I was thiiiiiiiiiiis close to buying a blaster about a week ago, just to open something. I resisted the temptation and decided to buy the singles I wanted and save my money. Seeing breaks like this only reassures me I made the correct choice (no offense).
Sir,
You have been "spectrummed"
T
"Does anyone else think these are too purple?"
YES!
My own Spectrum commentary coming soon. But you are correct, sir.
I'd be happy to take the Thome off your hands. I, too, was burned by the stupid 'on average'... Remember when 'on average' meant you got at least one, but sometimes, you got more?
